Water Main Break: Main Street Closed at 8th

Main Street is closed to traffic today at the intersection of 8th, certainly westbound, with City crews working hard to open it up to traffic by 5pm Thursday.

Per the City of Bozeman Water Department on Thursday morning, there is a water main break on the north side of Main Street, very near the intersection of 8th and Main Street.

Main Street will be closed from 8th to 7th, at LEAST in the westbound lanes. (It is unclear if the eastbound lanes will need to be closed and for how long today.)

It is recommended to just avoid that intersection completely today so that City crews can get equipment in and out of the area to fix the issue.

At this time, it is certain that westbound Main Street lanes will be closed between 8th and 7th.
