When Will This Airline Return To The Bozeman Airport?

Even though many folks think the Bozeman Airport is busy enough, it could be busier if this airline returns. 

In November 2021, we did a story about how Frontier Airlines suspended its operations in Bozeman. The popular budget airline consistently flew between Bozeman and Denver for years. This flight was supposed to return this summer, so what happened?

Despite Frontier's plan to resume their Bozeman-Denver flight in June 2022, we haven't heard anything. If you check the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport website, Frontier Airlines is nowhere to be found. If you check the Frontier Airlines website, the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is no longer available as a destination or a starting point. So what's next? 

Frontier Airlines still operates flights out of Missoula and Kalispell to Denver multiple times a week. We dug deep on the Frontier Airlines website to see if there was any word on when the flight to Denver will return, but we couldn't find anything.

Frontier Airlines was an extremely popular flight out of Bozeman. Their flights are known for being extremely budget-friendly and being a party. Frontier Airlines is busy trying to acquire another budget airline, Spirit Airlines, but is in a battle with JetBlue.

If you are looking to fly to Denver, you are still in luck. Two airlines have regular flights from the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to Denver; United Airlines and Southwest Airlines. If you want to save money, you might want to go Southwest. At least you get two free checked bags. 

Though their absence is a mystery for now, I still hope Frontier comes back to the Bozeman airport one day.
