Cross country skiers from all over the country will be converging on West Yellowstone this week for the annual Yellowstone Ski Festival. This year's festival, which always takes place during the week of Thanksgiving, is Tuesday, November 25 - Saturday, November 29.

The event typically marks the kickoff for the cross country ski season in North America, as West Yellowstone's Rendezvous Ski Trail is among the first groomed cross country trails in the nation!

Enthusiasts will be able to participate in ski races, clinics, get tips from the pros, try out equipment from some of the biggest vendors in the world, see a cross country skiing fashion show, and more! This year's keynote speaker will be Canadian Olympic gold medalist Chandra Crawford on Wednesday night. Many of the activities are free unless you plan on competing in the races. If you plan on heading out to the Rendezvous Ski Trails, a permit must be purchased.
