I love Brendan Benson. I love his solo stuff and, quite frankly, I think he's the better half of The Raconteurs with Jack White. Yeah, I said it. HOWEVER, this video seems to have evaded my musical radar.

This video for "She's Trying To Poison Me" was released at the beginning of this year, but it's no wonder I missed it because according to AllMusic.com:

Following the release of his fifth full-length, What Kind of World, in 2012, Nashville by way of Detroit singer/songwriter Brendan Benson offered fans a series of new singles, arriving monthly throughout 2013. You Were Right neatly packages the singles and several unreleased tracks in album form.

So basically, songs were released one at a time with little to no fanfare until the latest full length album came out with little to no promotion or attention.

Granted, it's our job to dig for great new music, but sometimes you just can't find all the gems. Even from artists that you know and love.

With that said, I still love your music, Brendan. But this video is a trip.

Sincerely,

Michelle
