These Beautiful Old Montana Buildings Are Now Unbelievably Valuable
Chic new developments continue to pop up in Montana's most popular cities. Bozeman, Missoula, Helena, Billings, along with several smaller Montana towns. That makes prime locations that haven't yet been developed even more valuable. How much time do these funky, old buildings have left?
NOTE: I picked these locations based on my own opinion. NOT because I'm in the know about any particular upcoming development. These buildings are simply cool and funky - and also in prime locations for what developers might be looking for.
The Ag Depot in Bozeman is a fully functioning, locally owned business. In my opinion, it's one of the best parts of downtown Bozeman because it absolutely represents the best parts of 'old Bozeman'. (Corner of Wallace and Mendenhall)
We (the Ag Depot) are the area’s only locally owned grain elevator and farm store.
We originate and ship high-quality Montana malting barley to some of the premier maltsters and brewers in the world, and we supply quality organic, natural, and conventional feeds and crop inputs to large farmers, smaller part-time farmers, backyard gardeners and livestock growers.
I hope this building stays put forever, quite frankly. However, million dollar condos seem to be reproducing in the area like rabbits. Being in the heart of downtown Bozeman and a block away from Lindley Park is a blessing and a curse.
Corner of Minnesota and S. 23rd in Billings - I have no idea what this building was used for years ago, but it's been sitting there unused and boarded up for as far back as Google Street View goes. It looks the same now as it did in October of 2007.
If you head west from there, many of the cool brick buildings have been revamped and are in use as functioning businesses. Even though the oil refinery is a couple blocks away, so is the Yellowstone River. That alone makes a property like this valuable.
WHAT TOURISTS ACTUALLY DO IN MONTANA
Helena Body & Paint - (829 N. Warren Street, Helena) This is another fully functioning, local business that happens to be located in a very cool, old funky building that developers are probably drooling over.
We (Helena Body & Paint) are your local auto body shop that has been providing the most superior auto body repair service for over 55 years!
