Kanye West Tweets Apology to Beck
Nearly three weeks after the Grammys, Kanye West has finally issued an apology to Beck for his harsh words after the ceremony – that is to say, he actually said he's sorry.
Who would’ve known that when West said Beck should “respect artistry” and give his Grammy to Beyonce, it would generate an opinion from just about anyone and everyone, inspire two mash-ups and some creative window decorations? Well, maybe Taylor Swift.
In a tweet, West simply wrote, “I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.” It’s TBD if this will fuel a sequel of sorts to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy track, “Runaway.”
It appears that West’s past grudges have been weighing heavily on the rapper, as he followed up his tweet to Beck with another one issuing an apology to Bruno Mars, who he once called “overrated” during a concert.
West even went on to tweet that he’d like to collaborate with Mars on an upcoming track. Considering the Yeezus rapper has mended fences with Taylor Swift and the pair are reportedly working together, maybe this could indeed be a sign of a Kanye-Beck collaboration in the near future -- we can only hope.
