After nine seasons as head football coach, Montana State University has officially parted ways with Rob Ash. The announcement was made at a press conference this morning. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle was there providing live updates. Here's what they reported:

According to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle,

There will be no interim coach. The search for Ash's replacement will begin immediately. All of the assistants will be retained through this process, but there's no guarantee the new coach will keep them.

"Fields would like to find a new coach in 10-14 days, but acknowledged the challenges with postseason FCS play still ongoing and FBS bowl season stretching into January."
