The Montana State University Bobcats are the 2025 FCS National Champions, and with North Dakota State’s move to the FBS, the balance of power in the FCS has shifted. Montana State has stepped squarely into the spotlight, and the Bobcats now sit at the top of the FCS landscape.

The NDSU Bison have long been a thorn in the Bobcats' side. The Bison have beaten the Bobcats in every meeting since 2010 and have crushed the dreams of several FCS teams over the years.

The tide has now turned, and it's time for the Bobcats to keep the momentum and become the new powerhouse in the Football Championship Subdivision.

The Bobcats are fresh off winning their first National Championship in 41 years. It was no easy task, but the Cats found a way to get a hard-fought overtime win against Illinois State and bring the trophy back to Bozeman.

The target on the back of the Bobcats has never been as big as it is now. After beating Montana twice this past season, there's no denying that the Cats are the best team in the Big Sky Conference. Plus, longtime Griz Head Coach Bobby Hauck jumped ship and took a higher-paying job, so Montana is currently in rough shape.

The Bobcats know how to handle the pressure of being in the spotlight, and with so many standout players returning for the upcoming season, the future is bright. For those of us who bleed blue & gold, it's an exciting time to be alive.
