Tom Petty, Gary Clark Jr. and Michael Franti to Play Mountain Jam 2017
The 2017 edition of Mountain Jam will take place from June 16-18 at Hunter Mountain in Hunter, N.Y. Today, the festival announced ticket pre-sale information and a partial list of artists who will appear on the bill, including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (who will headline one night), Gary Clark Jr. and Michael Franti & Spearhead.
In addition to those three acts, the festival's organizers confirmed ten other acts: the Steve Miller Band, Peter Frampton, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, the Strumbellas, the Revivalists, White Denim, the Infamous Stringdusters, Elephant Revival, River Whyless and Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.
The presale will begin tomorrow (Nov. 15) at 10AM Eastern. To participate, visit MountainJam.com to sign up for the festival's newsletter, and you will receive a code. However, all requests must be received by midnight tonight. The presale will last only 24 hours, with tickets being offered to the general public beginning Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10AM Eastern.
In previous years, Mountain Jam took place the weekend after Memorial Day. However, this year the organizers moved it back two weeks to mid-June in order to "prevent weather cancellations or delays and increase our chances of sunny days and clear mountain nights," as they said in a press release in September.
Held annually since 2005, Mountain Jam brings together approximately 50 bands from the rock, indie and jam-band worlds across three stages. Last year's version featured such names as Beck, Wilco and Jason Isbell.
