One of a Kind: Ramcharger 8 Opens Saturday at Big Sky

At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, the first eight-seat chairlift in North America will officially open at Big Sky Resort.

Ramcharger 8 features eight heated seats inside of a weather-proof shell and is being touted as the most technologically advanced chairlift in the world.

The resort estimates that roughly 3,200 skiers per hour will be able to head up Andesite Mountain while using the lift.
