
Red Flag Warning for Fire Weather in Montana Through Monday Evening
Northeast Montana remains under a Red Flag Warning until Monday night with dry conditions, gusty winds and the possibility of lightning.

FYI - most of southern Montana is under some sort of Winter Weather advisory or watch, with a foot or more snow headed for the highest elevations.
Portions of northeast Montana have been under Severe Thunderstorm Watches, with radar indicating pea-sized hail with 50 MPH wind gusts on Monday evening.
- A RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING
- WHERE: FOR GUSTY WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 120, 122, 136, AND 137.
- AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 120, 122, 136, and 137.
- WIND...Southwest at 15 to 25 mph gusting as high as 35 mph.
- HUMIDITY...as low as 13 percent.
- THUNDERSTORMS... Isolated storms are expected along a line from Jordan to Wolf Point to Plentywood in the late afternoon through the evening hours.
- Any downburst winds could create severe gusts/outflow causing sudden fire runs.
- IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly toward the northeast.
- Outdoor burning is not recommended.
- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in these areas of this Red Flag Warning.
