Convenience is at a premium, along with a super healthy dose of supply and demand for hotel rooms the week of Bozeman's Sweet Pea Festival. Frankly, we were shocked there were any rooms available at ANY price.

But as of today, rooms are indeed available and they certainly have a price. By the way, we're not slamming any of the hotels mentioned in our simple price check below. Especially after the last 18 months with COVID-19 concerns and traveler ebbs and flows, supply and demand wins.

Simply put: it's not always this expensive. But if you want a decent hotel room for the most popular week of the year, it will indeed cost you.

Here's what we did...just a simple search on a few travel websites to see what was available for the entire week of Sweet Pea Festival (checking in on Monday, August 2nd and checking out on Monday, August 9th).

The rates we quote below came from our Travelocity.com hotel search, 1 room with 2 adults.

BTW, we only included hotels and motels in Bozeman and Belgrade. There ARE/WERE a few less expensive options in Livingston and one option in Three Forks. Surprisingly there are tons of options still available even if they're pricey.

We did check Airbnb.com too: "Low Availability" was the response :-) The least expensive options out of 23 Airbnb options was a room in a shared house in Belgrade for $90/night (PLUS a Cleaning fee of $20, a Service fee of $91, and Occupancy taxes and fees of $55).

On the higher end, there's the "Fox Box" in downtown Bozeman: a two bedroom detached apartment for $1,000/night (PLUS a $200 Cleaning Fee, a $1,016 Service Fee AND $617 in taxes and fees)
