The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is investigating the shooting of a grizzly bear discovered by hikers over Memorial Day weekend on the Gallatin National Forest. Anyone with information may receive a reward up to $1,000.
With general hunting season approaching, the Custer Gallatin National Forests remind hunters and forest visitors to stay safe, be careful, and remember that travel management regulations are in place for both Forests. Visitors are also asked to follow the Leave No Trace guidelines:
Hyalite is by far one of the most popular "get outta town" roads in the Bozeman area. If you're looking for a little dose of the reservoir or many trails up the canyon, the road is scheduled to open THIS THURSDAY.
