The Emerson will play host to the showing of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste, produced by Anthony Bourdain. Many famous chefs are featured in the documentary and this showing is a benefit for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.
Apparently, the University of Montana is sick of losing to Montana State University each year in the annual Can the Griz Food Drive. Laurynn Olson, program coordinator in the MSU Office of Activities and Engagement, said that we are falling behind. More donations are needed by this Saturday (Nov. 21). Every can matters!

The 16th annual Can the Griz Food Drive takes place on Saturday, Nov. 7 through Saturday, Nov. 21. Although it is a friendly off-field competition between Montana State University and the University of Montana to see which community can collect the most donations for their local food banks, we are very proud to hold a lead of 14 - 1 because our friends and neighbors in need are the real winners. With summer approaching, the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and Community Cafe are gearing up for another Summer Meals Program. This year they will be expanding their site and time options to offer more opportunities for the community to take advantage of meals. This lunch program is open to ALL kids and teens 18 and under. FREE, healthy meals are available at meal sites across Bozeman and Belgrade.
