Two Earthquakes Rattle Western Montana
At approximately 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake was reported, with the epicenter of the quake located near Lincoln, MT.
According to U.S. Geological Survey, multiple people reported feeling the quake, however no injuries have been reported. An additional smaller tremor measuring a magnitude of 2.7 was recorded thirty minutes later. Both earthquakes were located between 6 and 7 miles below the surface.
A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck western Montana near northwest Helena, on July 6, 2017, in was the largest in Montana in a decade.
