The Bozeman School Board will vote this evening to determine how much they will need to increase the property tax. The increase will be put on the ballot of the May 3rd elections. How much of an increase do you think there should there be?

They have proposed asking for a $250,000 increase in local taxes to help support the high school and a $220,800 increase for the elementary schools.

If the Legislature doesn't pass a school funding bill, the maximum amounts that can be levied will change.

The board meets at 6 p.m. in Willson School.
