Winter Weather Advisory Through Monday Night – More Snow and Wind
Southern Gallatin County is in for another round of snow (several inches possible) AND the wind to make travel difficult with another Winter Weather Advisory in effect until Monday night.
According to the National Weather Service:
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW.
- IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT MST MONDAY NIGHT.
- LOCATIONS - TARGHEE PASS AND WEST YELLOWSTONE.
- TIMING - PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW TODAY WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY IN THE WEST YELLOWSTONE AREA BY TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY BEFORE GRADUALLY TAPERING OFF.
- SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - 5 TO 10 INCHES.
- WINDS - SOUTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
- ROADWAYS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND ICY AND VISIBILITY MAY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES.
- BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITY.
