
12 Inches of High Elevation Snow Possible by Thursday Morning
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for areas above 6,000 feet in Gallatin and Madison counties with a foot of snow possible at the highest elevations.
According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6000 FEET IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM MDT THURSDAY.
- WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with 8 to 14 inches above 8000 feet are expected.
- Winds gusting as high as 35 mph could lead to blowing snow.
- WHERE...Elevations above 6000 feet in Madison and Gallatin Counties. This advisory does not include the city of Bozeman or Bozeman Pass.
- WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 9 AM MDT Thursday.
- Plan on slippery road conditions.
- Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
