We're finding peace in small things these days. Our friend AJ Scaff has a knack for capturing cool stuff like this bald eagle just chillin' on a gravel bar in the Yellowstone River.

These apex predators always stop me in my tracks when I get to see one. They're majestic. They're beautiful. They're just bad ass birds.

This short video that AJ Scaff caught was taken on the Yellowstone River near Livingston, MT.

Apparently, there was a Bald Eagle Recovery Plan instituted in Montana in 1986 with a goal of 99 breeding pairs. We've far surpassed that goal with Montana currently supporting over 500 active bald eagle territories.

According to the U.S. Fish Wildlife Service, the bald eagle is no longer an endangered species.
