Hot air balloons will be floating over Billings, Montana July 24th through the 27th. You can participate in the Big Sky Balloon Rally, or simply enjoy the beauty of the weekend in the Magic City. We've got the schedule and details on what you need to know.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the Big Sky Balloon Rally. No experience is needed because you'll be coached on how to be part of a chase crew, and even how to help inflate them.

"Amend Park is a 60-acre, multi-use recreational complex, which serves primarily as a soccer facility for the Billings area."

The Big Sky Balloon Rally is a FREE event and is family friendly. It is also the largest hot air balloon event in the state of Montana.

• Thursday, July 24th: 6 am - Sponsor Flight from Amend Park, weather permitting
• Friday, July 25th: 6 am - Balloon Launch from Amend Park, weather permitting
• Saturday, July 26th: 6 am - Balloon Launch from Amend Park, weather permitting
• Saturday, July 26th: 6 pm - Field at Amend Park opens to the public
• Saturday, July 26th: 6:15 - 8:30 pm - Live music by DIRRT
• Saturday, July 26th: Dusk - Balloon glow, weather permitting
• Sunday, July 27th: 6 am - Balloon Launch from Amend Park, weather permitting

"Chase crew are responsible for a range of tasks: Helping to assemble and inflate the hot air balloons.  Also aiding pilots in landing. Informing pilots about wind and terrain conditions."
