Khanom Thai Plans to Open New Location in Bozeman

If you've been craving Thai food in Bozeman, one of the area's most popular restaurants is expanding.

Khanom Thai, which has a location on Haley Springs Road just off Huffine Lane, is preparing to open a second location in a much more central part of town.

The new restaurant will be located at 721 S. 9th Avenue, in the former home of S. 9th Bistro, just minutes from Montana State University.

The expansion was first reported by the Bozeman Real Estate Group earlier this month. While there’s no official opening date yet, the move is great news for a restaurant that’s quickly built a loyal following since opening in 2025.

Since opening in 2025, Khanom Thai has quickly become a favorite among local residents. We’re excited to see the expansion. Bozeman’s options for truly authentic, high-quality Thai food are still pretty limited. Spots like Thai Basil and Rice Fine Thai Cuisine have helped fill that gap, but there’s always room for more.

For locals, the thought of having access to great Thai food in the heart of Bozeman is something to get excited about.

Bozeman's restaurant scene continues to grow, and as someone who considers himself a "foodie", I couldn't be more excited about it. Plus, it's close to the radio station, so I'll most likely be visiting often for lunch.

We're not sure when the new location will be open, but it's exciting to see such a deserving restaurant grow, and local residents and college kids can look forward to a new spot for lunch and dinner.
