A musician known to brighten the streets of downtown Bozeman has sadly passed away, and locals are devastated by the loss.

If you ever happened to wander downtown on a sunny day, you most likely heard "Elisha" G.A. Mann (aka the 'Sonshine Mann') playing one of his many guitars. He was a downtown Bozeman legend and was a symbol of the simpler days of Bozeman. His music always had the ability to put a smile on your face, and it always seemed to make your day better.

If you search for Elisha Mann on YouTube, you'll find several videos of him playing guitar on the streets of Bozeman, something that he did almost every day during the summer. His legacy will definitely live on forever.

Unfortunately, Mann passed away on March 21, 2023. He was 69 years old. To say that he will be missed is an understatement. As many have already mentioned on social media, the streets of downtown Bozeman won't be the same without him.

Mann was one of the most unique things about the downtown area. I always looked forward to hearing him play guitar whenever I was walking down the street. He made the world a better place, and for that, we can't thank him enough.

We want to send our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. A memorial service for Mann has not been announced, but details are expected to be announced in the future.

Thanks for all of the music, Elisha. If you'd like to share a memory of Mann, click here.
