Starting on Monday 4/27, you'll encounter some single-lane closures on HWY 84 between Bozeman and Norris as part of the East of Norris Corridor Study project.

  • From April 27 to May 15, Landslide Technology crews will begin drilling in the roadway at select locations along a three-mile section of Highway 84 as part of the Highway 84 – East of Norris Corridor Study project.
  • Crews will be working between the Warm Springs Boat Launch and Red Mountain Campground on Highway 84, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Throughout this time, drivers can expect single-lane closures.
  • Traffic control will be set up while drilling activities are taking place.
  • No weekend work will be conducted.
  • Flaggers will be in place to guide travel through the area and 5-minute delays are expected.
  • The Highway 84 – East of Norris Corridor Study is exploring all feasible options to improve safety for the corridor.
  • This two-lane highway, with its hilly terrain and curves following the river, has more crashes on it than the statewide average for similar highways.
