Bozeman Woman Dead After 2 Car Crash
Very sad news to report this afternoon - a 44-year-old Bozeman woman is dead after a car accident on Cottonwood and Stucky this morning. Her 7-year-old child was severely injured and is at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
It happened around 7:30 this morning when the woman failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Stucky and Cottonwood. A 29 year old driving a pickup truck tried to swerve to miss the car but couldn't stop from T boning the woman and her child who were in a Subaru. The driver of the truck was also taken to Bozeman Deaconess. The car ended up stopping in the ditch and starting on fire.
Montana Highway Patrol, the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Rae-Sourdough VFD and the county road department responded to the scene. Our thoughts and prayers are with the child, their family and friends.
