The eastern half of Montana is also dealing with challenging weather on Sunday with freezing rain and continuing gusty winds. Dozens of counties are under some sort of weather advisory.

- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling.
In the very northeast portion of Montana, conditions on roadways are dangerous. Snow, ice, and wind are all playing a factor on Sunday. If you don't need to be traveling, consider postponing until things clear up.

- Significant ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting power outages.
- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

- Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.
- Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your electric company.
- Travel is highly discouraged due to slick roadways and the possibility of downed trees and power lines.
