[WATCH] Dumb Tourist Quickly Regrets Chasing Bear in Yellowstone

Each year, people from all around the world travel to Yellowstone National Park to experience something one-of-a-kind. A place that is truly wild. Sadly, the beauty of the park is often overshadowed by stories of visitors breaking the rules and getting too close to wildlife or protected geothermal features in the park.

So far in 2023, we've heard about a man trying to rescue a baby bison near a river in the park. The young bison was later rejected by the herd, and park officials were forced to euthanize the animal due to safety concerns.

According to NPR, A little over a week following the previous story, a couple of tourists put a baby elk in the back of their vehicle and tried to drive it to a police station, Fortunately, the elk was able to escape and ran away. Unfortunately, this is just the start. Tourist season has just begun. Here's a recent video that was shared on the Touronsofyellowstone Instagram page.

The latest example of someone getting too close to wildlife was shared by Cowboy State Daily. Park officials are searching for a man who was filmed ripping his shirt off chasing after bears. In the video below, you can hear the man bark at a bear while chasing it.

Tourists getting too close to wildlife in YNP isn't anything new, but the incidents are becoming more frequent. It really is startling. As mentioned above, authorities are searching for the man in the video. If caught, he could face up to six months in jail and be fined up to $5,000.
