Eight Mile Ford FAS Set to Close For Construction October 28
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will temporarily close the Eight Mile Ford Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Madison River near Ennis beginning Tuesday, October 28.
The structure of the existing bridge leading to the FAS (across an irrigational canal) is deteriorating. Replacement of the wooden abutments with concrete ones is now required. The footings will also be replaced, and the bridge will be reinstalled with new trusses and new wooden bridge decking as needed.
The site will be closed to public use for the duration of the project. This project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
FWP thanks the recreating public for their patience during this closure.
