Fun, NON-BAR Events Around Bozeman This Week: Lunar New Year Edition
If drinking alcohol isn't a part of your social life, the Bozeman area has your back. The first full week of the 2023 Lunar New Year offers lots of fun events that DO NOT involve a bar or a big focus on drinking.
Monday, January 23rd and Tuesday, January 24th: The Beast of Bozeman Auditions at the Emerson Center - (111 South Grand, Bozeman) Starts at 4:30pm. Auditions by APPOINTMENT ONLY! "Vocalists, Musicians, DJs, Rappers, Bands, Comedians, Dancers, Drag Performers, and Cirque Artists! The Emerson will be holding auditions for performers 15+ for your chance to compete in the premiere talent contest "The Beast of Bozeman".
Monday, January 23rd: SIP, SIGN & PLAY at Cold Smoke Coffeehouse - (2051 West Oak, Bozeman) Happening 5pm to 7pm. "Let’s Sign to chat & play some games. All are welcome - from new signers to those fluent in ASL." Hosted by SignToo.
Tuesday, January 24th: Motherless Daughter Meetup January at Arts on Fire Bozeman - (200 South 23rd, Suite A1, in the Albertsons shopping center) Starts at 6pm. "If you have lost your mother and are looking for support, a friendly ear, a group that understands, please join us." Choose an item from Arts on Fire's huge selection of pottery to paint while we chat - $5 to $50.
Wednesday, January 25th: Community Conversation with Intermountain Opera Bozeman at Thrive - (407 South Ferguson, Bozeman) Starts at 7pm. "Enjoy a 10-minute excerpt performance from the upcoming show followed by a panel discussion. We’ll discuss local families’ experiences raising teens as they gain independence as well as blended and adoptive families, common themes in the musical. Light refreshments provided."

Thursday, January 26th: MSU Women's Basketball vs Portland State at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse - Faculty/Staff Appreciation game! The women will be facing Portland State in the Brick at 7 p.m. Tickets at the door or the link above.

Friday, January 27th: Cosmic Tubing at Yellowstone Alliance Adventures - (13707 Cottonwood Canyon Road, Bozeman) Tube under the lights down YAA's 300ft tubing hill. Tubes and hot chocolate are included and s'mores available for purchase. Advanced registration required. Cost to attend is $16.
Friday, January 27th: Bozeman Icedogs vs. Yellowstone Quake at the Haynes Pavillion - (Gallatin County Fairgrounds) Game 1 of a 2 game series. Doors open at 6:30 PM, puck drop 7:30 PM at Haynes Pavilion.
Saturday, January 28th: "Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross" Special Exhibition at the Museum of the Rockies - (600 West Kagy, Bozeman) NEW EXHIBIT. "Alex Ross has created some of the most iconic images known to fans today, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Storm from the X-Men, the Avengers, Black Panther, and many more."
Saturday, January 28th: KIDS EVENT - Button Bouquet with Painted Vase at Revibe Studio - (611 North Wallace, Bozeman) Starts at 1pm. "Kids crafting class ages 8-12.
