Over 100 local businesses will be handing out candy, and the best part is, it’s completely free! It’s such a fun way to stroll through town, say hi to familiar faces, and watch the kids fill their buckets with treats (and maybe sneak a piece or two for myself).
Everything You Need to Know About Downtown Bozeman Trick-or-Treating
Head downtown from 4-6 PM on Friday, October 31 to join in the fun. There’s one big change this year due to the fact that the event has grown so much.

The City of Bozeman is closing Main Street from Grand to Church from about 3 to 7 p.m. That means no parking along that stretch, but honestly, it’s worth it. Having the street closed makes the whole experience safer and more relaxed. No cars, just costumes and candy!
The Bozeman Police and Fire Departments will be on hand, working with the Downtown Bozeman Association to keep everything running smoothly. I always appreciate seeing them out there, making sure everyone can just focus on having fun.
Don't forget, this is Montana. Whether it’s raining or snowing, the trick-or-treating goes on. So bundle up, bring your candy bag, and head downtown for one of Bozeman’s most beloved Halloween traditions.
