Livingston Experiences Largest Earthquake in Over Four Years
On Wednesday, October 23, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richtor Scale was reported in Livingston.
The last earthquake measuring over 2.0 was reported on May 22, 2015. It measured a 2.1.
While seismic activity is common throughout much of Montana, Livingston generally doesn't see much activity. The epicenter of Wednesday's quake was located just over 8.5 miles west of Livingston.
The impact of the quake was only felt by a few people according to the report by the United States Geological Survey.
