The math is simple. Montana currently has 7,432 active COVID-19 cases, of which 291 are currently hospitalized.

The numbers and information in this article are from Monday, October 12th, 2020 and were gathered from the official State of Montana COVID-19 dashboard.

On a broader scale with a longer period of time: The current hospitalization rate is better than the OVERALL hospitalization rate. Of ALL the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Montana to date (19,125), 905 of them have been hospitalized. That is a 4.72% hospitalization rate overall.

Gallatin County specifically has 521 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, October 12th, 2020. Thankfully, only 11 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. However, testing is usually quite light on Sundays, therefore you would expect fewer new cases reported.

FYI: The Bozeman drive-thru COVID-19 Test Sites are still for patients with an existing order from a provider. They are not simply "open for testing" for just anyone who wants a test.
