
Surging Heat For North Central Montana This Week
Montana is in for a heatwave this week, and north central Montana around Great Falls are likely to see 100 degrees or more on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Take good care of yourself and your neighbors as Montana's temps are going to hit 100 or more in a few places this week.
- A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 8 PM WEDNESDAY.
- WHAT...Temperatures of 95 to 100 are expected in the afternoon with overnight temperatures only dropping to the low 60s in the early morning hours.
- WHERE...Cascade County below 5000ft, Hill County, Northern Blaine County, and Western and Central Chouteau County.
- WHEN...From 1 PM Tuesday to 8 PM Wednesday.
- IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
- PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
- Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing.
- Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
- Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
