Montana Money: Spectacular Little Towns Are The Most Valuable

Forget Bozeman, Missoula, Billings, or Great Falls. When you're looking for some of the most valuable properties in Montana, the smallest towns are now the hotbed for some seriously impressive real estate.

In addition, the list of cities with the fastest growing home prices in Montana are topped by the smallest of our towns, according to 12 months of data from Zillow. Rollins, Ovando, Whitehall, and Nye are just a few examples of tiny towns with huge property values along with some of the biggest growth.

There are currently two simple reasons for this: month by month value percentage growth tracked by the Zillow data, and the sheer size of some of the more expensive, rural properties for sale in Montana. Huge, gorgeous ranches aren't found in the middle of big towns...they require the true space that small towns can really offer.

There's a $20 million dollar farm outside of Birney, Montana. The $72 million dollar Cromwell Island on Flathead Lake.
