MT FWP Announces Temporary Closure on the Big Hole River This Week

From 8 am Wednesday, July 30 to midnight on Thursday, July 31, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will close the Big Hole River to launching and floating from Greenwood Bottoms Fishing Access Site to 1,000 ft. below Silver Bridge.

This means Powerhouse Fishing Access Site will also be closed to launching, and wade fishing is prohibited from 1,000 ft. above to 1,000 ft. below Powerhouse Fishing Access Site.

This temporary closure is associated with the Silver Bridge construction project and may be one of a number of periodic closures necessary for the project's completion. All closures should last no more than 48 hours. FWP appreciates your patience during this time and asks that you avoid construction areas.
