A temporary closure of this fishing access site on the Yellowstone River was put in place on September 9th to help fight the Pine Creek Fire. It has once again reopened to the public:

Loch Leven fishing access site on the Yellowstone River south of Livingston has been reopened to the public. A temporary closure was put in place on September 9, 2012 in order to allow the site to be used as a base of operations in fighting the Pine Creek Fire.

Fish, Wildlife & Parks would like to thank the local residents and fishing access site users for their patience during this closure. FWP is pleased to have been able to provide this assistance at such a crucial time and appreciates the hard work of the agencies and firefighters who worked so hard to contain this fire.
