Ruby Dam Fishing Access Site Reopened

Ruby Dam Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Ruby River south of Alder has reopened after a long-term closure which began in the summer of 2010. The site was closed during work on the Ruby Dam Rehabilitation Project. It will now remain open until the next phase of the project begins. Details here:

Now that phase one of the Ruby Dam Rehabilitation Project is complete, the Ruby Dam FAS will remain open to the public until Phase two begins, which is scheduled for the fall of 2013. At that time, the Ruby Dam FAS will close again to protect the public from any potentially hazardous conditions associated with construction until completion of the project. Dates for reopening the FAS are subject to change due to construction schedules and environmental condition.
