Spruce Moose 2013 headliner Ozomatli has an array of songs I would love to hear live. It was tough to narrow it down, but here is my ears' wishlist (Ozomatli takes the Big Sky Resort stage on Friday, August 30):

People have been asking me what they should bring to this year's Spruce Moose Festival at Big Sky Resort over Labor Day weekend. I even had someone ask if it was a good idea to bring Mardi Gras beads, considering the fact that modern New Orleans jam band Galactic is performing. Not a bad idea, just keep in mind that the main thing you'll need at a Galactic show is your dancing shoes! Here's why: R

We couldn't be more thrilled to have celebrated Los Angeles heroes turned world ambassadors, Ozomatli, at Big Sky Resort this Labor Day weekend as one of our Spruce Moose headliners. They truly are special musicians and people. This intimate look at the band in the studio with 7-time Grammy Award winning producer/mixer/engineer, Elliot L. Scheiner, paints the real picture:

Did you know that Ozomatli have a kids album? It's called OZOKIDZ, and the first track on the album is called "Moose on the Loose". It's about coming across a moose in the backwoods while recreating. Sounds like they might have to play that for the crazy kids in Big Sky, MT during the 3rd annual Spruce Moose Festival, no? Listen to it here:

They'll be headlining Friday night August 30th, 2013 at Spruce Moose on the mountain at Big Sky Resort.

The last weekend of August in 2013 is going to show Big Sky Resort the biggest party it's ever had with the Spruce Moose Festival 2013 featuring Ozomatli and Galactic. Here's why:

Ozomatli was born and bred in Los Angeles and we are excited to welcome them to the 2013 Spruce Moose. They began as a musical protest group performing at labor protests, inner-city elementary schools, community events and city fundraisers. The city of Los Angeles officially declared April 23rd "Ozomatli Day" in recognition of the band's efforts.
