By Thursday evening, another 5" of snow could fall in the foothills around the Red Lodge area. It's been a very busy weather week for the higher elevations of southern Montana.
Snow is supposed to taper off by Tuesday afternoon but not before Mother Nature drops up to 5" of fresh snow in the Red Lodge area and the Beartooth Foothills.
A large area of southwest Montana will get dangerous winds gusts Sunday and Monday. Hazardous travel conditions and power outages from downed branches and trees are possible.
Hazardous, icy conditions made for a treacherous commute on the Bozeman Pass Tuesday morning. Snow showers are expected on and off until 6pm Tuesday evening.
