This Is the Salary Required to Afford an Average Home in Montana

With the cost of housing on the rise around the country, the website howmuch.net has released a report on the salary required to purchase a home in all 50 states in 2018.

The sum is based on the average home price on Zillow and then plugged into a mortgage calculator to figure monthly payments.

For us here in Montana, the average salary required to purchase an average home is $75,520.

According to the research compiled for the report, Michigan seems to be the most affordable state in the country for real estate, with the average salary required to buy a home coming in at $40,800.
