Well our first winter weather advisory was no joke. After the unseasonably warm last couple of months (and record high temperatures just a few days ago), I wasn't sure just how much we could trust it. But here I am typing this from the Moose studio in downtown Bozeman and......yep, it's snowing out our window. Winter arrived in Southwest Montana at the perfect time this year.

It just feels right today as we our two days away from the premier of the annual Warren Miller ski and snowboard film. "Wintervention" will be shown twice on Wednesday, November 10th at the Emerson (6 and 9pm). Avalaunch, a three day winter festival in Bozeman begins this Thursday and we won't have to pray for snow this Saturday at the Pray for Snow Party (Avalaunch tickets available at Cactus Records, Helly Hanson and online at avalaunchfestival.com).

What else? Let's see,  it hasn't felt like football season for much of this one but here comes winter just in time for the Cats to prepare for the Griz! It has to be cold and nasty for that one. The Cats have had an unbelievable season and are ready to cap it off by beating Montana. They're playing for state bragging rights and a playoff berth this year (November 20th in Missoula). That also means that basketball season is underway (that's a winter sport).....plenty of other things too, like the fact that I just got some skis at the ski swap yesterday. I'm psyched, the snow is right on cue this year. The heavens are aligning in Bozeman! Bring on some winter fun.....
