Winter Weather Advisory for Gallatin County Until Noon Monday
Temperatures may be warmer than what we've suffered through for the last week, but Gallatin County will see some fresh snow this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO NOON MONDAY.
- LOCATIONS - TARGHEE PASS... WEST YELLOWSTONE... RAYNOLDS PASS... MONIDA PASS.
- TIMING - PERIODS OF LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL DEVELOP AND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY.
- SOME FREEZING RAIN MAY MIX-IN WITH THE SNOW MONDAY MORNING IN THE VALLEYS.
- SNOW ACCUMULATIONS - 1 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE VALLEYS, INCLUDING MONIDA PASS.
- 5 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS, INCLUDING RAYNOLDS PASS, TARGHEE PASS, AND WEST YELLOWSTONE.
- ICE ACCUMULATIONS - A GLAZE OF ICE FROM FREEZING RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN THE VALLEYS.
- WINDS - 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
- VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN 1 MILE AT TIMES IN FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.
- TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES DUE TO SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND BLOWING SNOW. FREEZING RAIN MAY CONTRIBUTE TO DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS.
