Many Montana counties will be under a Winter Weather Advisory until Monday afternoon, with the mountains around Bozeman expected to get up to 10 inches of fresh snow.

According to the National Weather Service:

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 5 PM Monday.

  • WHAT: Snow redevelops late Sunday through Monday.
  • A brief period of freezing rain is possible from Helena to Townsend this evening.
  • Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected in the valleys, with 5 to 10 inches in the mountains.
  • A light glaze of ice possible this evening.
  • WHERE: central and southern Lewis And Clark, Jefferson, Broadwater and Gallatin.
  • WHEN: from 5 PM this afternoon to 5 PM MST Monday.
  • Plan on slippery Road conditions, including during the morning commute on Monday. Be prepared for reduced visibility at times.
