
12 Inches of Mountain Snow Possible by Thursday Morning
The Bozeman area could get up to 6 inches of snow with up to a foot in the mountains with most of western Montana under a Winter Weather Advisory.
According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT.
- WHAT...Areas of snow occurring. Snow expected to become widespread through the morning hours.
- Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches, with localized accumulations up to 12 inches possible along immediate northwest-facing mountain slopes.
- Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
- WHERE...Gallatin, Beaverhead and Madison.
- WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.
- Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
- Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
