Montana: No Wicked Halloween Weather in New Forecast
If you’re planning to take the kids trick-or-treating this Halloween, you’re in luck. The weather forecast isn't looking very spooky at all for most of Montana. You won’t need to dust off the snow boots or mittens this year.
While a few places around the state might see damp conditions or gusty winds, much of the state will stay comfortably cool and mostly dry. After an early-week tease of snow in places like Bozeman, Missoula, and Whitefish, the forecast for Halloween itself looks much better and perfect for dressing up in costumes, stocking up on candy, and being outside.
Halloween Weather Forecast for Cities Across Montana
Halloween is next Friday, October 31, and we all know the weather in Montana can be unpredictable to say the least. I wanted to see what Mother Nature had in store for Big Sky Country, so I headed to Weather Underground to check the forecast.

Here’s what you can expect across Montana on Halloween day and night:
BOZEMAN
Day: Partly cloudy skies in the morning with increasing clouds later in the day. High 54F.
Night: Mostly cloudy skies. Low 44F
BUTTE
Day. Mostly cloudy skies with a high around 50°F
Night. Mostly cloudy skies with a low in the mid-30s
MISSOULA
Day. Mostly cloudy skies. High in the mid-50s.
Night. Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers. Low around 41°F.
BILLINGS
Day. Partly cloudy skies with a high in the upper 50s.
Night. Cloudy skies with a low in the mid to upper 40s
HELENA
Day. Mostly Cloudy skies with a high in the mid-50s
Night. Mostly cloudy skies with a low in the mid-40s
GREAT FALLS
Day. Partly cloudy skies with a high around 60°F. Windy
Night. Mostly cloudy skies with a low around 50°F. Windy
WHITEFISH
Day. Scattered rain showers throughout the day with a high of around 50°F.
Night. Continued rain showers with a low in the upper-30s
KALISPELL
Day. Rain showers off and on throughout the day. High in the low-50s
Night. Cloudy with scattered rain showers. Low in the upper-30s.
Unfortunately, trick-or-treaters in Whitefish and Kalispell might get a little wet, and the chances of rain increase during the evening and into the night. It's never a bad idea to bring a jacket along because it can get pretty chilly after the sun goes down.
Happy Halloween to all of Montana's ghouls and goblins!
