Police later learned the situation began with a loud argument between two men inside the library.

The reporting party attempted to intervene and ask the men to quiet down. During that interaction, one of the men told the reporting party that the other man had said he had a bomb, which led to law enforcement being contacted.
Officers worked to assess the situation and determined there was no actual bomb or ongoing threat to the public. Once the building was cleared and police confirmed it was safe, the library reopened and resumed normal operations.
No injuries were reported, and no additional suspects are being sought. Police have not released the name of the individual who was arrested. Details about what led to the argument between the two men were not released. Thanks to local law enforcement for their prompt response and tireless efforts to keep Bozeman safe.
