Buying organic is an added expensive we have deemed a necessity in the Ledoux household, but if going all-organic is too much on your budget, here's a list of 12 foods that contain the highest levels of pesticides.

Due to pesticides and fungicides, you should really think about buying organic fruits and vegetables. They do protect such food from pests, but at what cost? That's for you to decide, just keep in mind that ingesting them can be quite harmful.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) compiles a list of the fruits and vegetables with the highest amounts of pesticides and fungicides to help consumers make informed decisions about when to buy organic.
