The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission is seeking public comment on the proposed Fishing Access Site (FAS) Annual Rule. The proposed rule sets the fees for FAS camping, group use permits, facility rentals, and special recreation permits (SRP) on the Blackfoot and Madison rivers. See the proposed rule and comment here:

The proposed rule includes a $5 increase to the minimum SRP fee for commercial use, competitive events, and organized groups on the Blackfoot and Madison rivers. It would also authorized FWP to require food storage at fishing access sites to address or prevent bear/human conflicts. FWP anticipates implementing food storage orders at only a limited number of fishing access sites at this time.

To comment or find a copy of the proposed rule, visit Public Notices at fwp.mt.gov. Comments are due by January 18, 2013. They can also be emailed to: FWPFASRuleComments@mt.gov; or mailed to: Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Attn: FAS Rule, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701.
