As the Harvey Weinstein scandal reverberates throughout Hollywood, women continue to step forward to share their experiences — including singer Björk.

Bjork has given us the first taste of new music, even as details of her next album remain unknown.

Many musicians, actors and comedians are releasing a series of 7-inch singles to raise money for Planned Parenthood.

Whether they created groundbreaking new sounds or were pioneers in the digital era, these are the artists most responsible for the state of alternative music now.

"The last album, we sort of call it 'hell" -- it was like divorce," Björk said. "So we are doing paradise now. Utopia."
