Chicken Sampler: Where to Find the Best Tenders in Montana

Breaded, battered, or coated in something crispy and delicious - chicken tenders, or chicken strips, are a favorite of many. Montana loves them and you can get them almost everywhere. They're not fancy, but they can be. Dressed up with interesting sauces and homemade dredges.

• If you ever feel like a road trip, the Two Bit Saloon in Whitehall has AMAZING chicken strips. I've not found any overly impressive in Bozeman.

• If you're not saying The Roost in Bozeman, you don't know
• The Whistle Stop Cafe in Columbus, MT is worth a stop. We enjoyed our lunch very much and got on our way down the road.
• Town and Country Foods - mixed with the mashed potatoes yea they are pretty good
• If you like chicken tenders, try the chicken fried steak at The Bunkhouse Bar in Toston. Their food is worth making a special stop. Plus it's one of the coolest bars in America.
• I've had them at Hail Mary's inside the Rocking R Bar. Legit.

In the Bozeman area, there were dozens of suggestions and votes for the Korner Klub in Four Corners, just west of Bozeman. The Korner Klub has been long loved for burgers and beer, but the sheer number of chicken tender recommendations makes you want to make a special trip.

• Ponderosa on Aspen, just of North 7th. Their food is just good. Plus they have a huge bar area and you can go bowling.
• Cislo's Family Restaurant in Kalispell, MT. They've got a chicken strip bacon wrap that is my absolute favorite. We always make a stop there when up in Kalispell.
• Not gonna lie Texas Roadhouse's chicken strips are FIRE
• The Clyde Park Tavern is the best deal around if you're in the area. Chicken Strips or Finger Steaks are like, $7.

• K2 Hideaway Grill - they always get our order right and it's elevated bar food. Chicken is good. Chop sandwich is classic. And the burgers and fries are excellent.
• The Chicken Coop Lounge in Seeley Lake. It pretty much speaks for itself :-)
• The Club Tavern in the Best Western. They call is the "Tempura Chicken Tender Appetizer" and you've got choices: Five tempura chicken tenders with, or tossed in, your choice of BBQ, Buffalo, Honey Sriracha, Mango Jalapeno Sauce, Ranch or Blue Cheese. Side of celery
• The Club on North 7th for sure. Always good.

• It’s a drive but the Big Bull Bar/Winston Bar (?) is good too
• Personally I love the ones at The Bacchus Pub in downtown Bozeman.
• The 19th Hole, just north of town. Easy to get to. Lots of parking. Never crowded. You can gamble, and the food is good.
• The Hop Lounge
• Café 191 just before you make the turn into the Big Sky meadow. Their chicken strips were very good along with everything else we had. Super cool place to hang out. Love it.
• Mama Macs in Four Corners. (West of Bozeman). By far the best, quickest food in the area.
• Manhattan Saloon has pretty good ones for simple and tasty bar food
