I love it when new businesses start taking off, especially new restaurants. Bozeman certainly has become quite a foodie town, with great restaurants in every price range. There's a new place to eat on the ground floor of The Element hotel.

NOTE: As of this writing, I have not yet been to this new downtown establishment. But because I've heard so many good things from people I trust, more digging was needed. I have every intention of having a meal there soon.

There is a new restaurant at The Element Hotel in downtown Bozeman, called Carlisle.

My neighbor is definitely a person who loves to try every new bar and restaurant that opens in Bozeman. When she told me she was headed to dinner with some friends at Carlisle - I was actually bummed that I couldn't join them.

She texted me later: "You have to try the crispy Brussels Sprouts, and the fried pound cake for dessert is f***ing amazing." (She said the next day that her martini wasn't big enough for her liking, but ain't that always the truth? lol.)

You can't miss Carlisle, at 25 East Mendenhall. It juts out gracefully from the ground floor of The Element hotel in downtown Bozeman. That space has always been one I've enjoyed since it was built - but this restaurant seems even more inviting than before.

Our name pays tribute to Carlisle Kenyon, a local icon whose vision and leadership shaped not only a family business but the very fabric of our community. (CarlisleBozeman.com)
